Job Description:Demonstrates bedside clinical skills and proficiency in EMR documentation. Develops and executes unit-based staff education on new equipment, medication, policy and procedure changes, and advances in clinical practice. Works with the Nurse Manager to facilitate successful onboarding of new staff. Rounds on patients as directed by Nursing Director, providing feedback to nursing staff including coaching and guidance to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
Provides coaching and guidance to individual nursing staff members to achieve improved performance and outcomes. Provides objective information for employee’s 90-day and yearly performance evaluations. Participates in the performance improvement process of clinical key quality indicators, assists with data collection, review, and action planning. Assists with policy review and research. Conducts peer interviews and provides input to the Nurse Manager/Director.
Solicits feedback from team members regarding new technology and ideas for implementation. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conducts 10 discharge phone calls per day and track/trend information for reinforcement or improvement.
- Conducts 10 NLV daily.
- Conducts 10 staff validations on patient experience core work including frequent visits, iCare, and bedside handover.
- Leads NEO orientation on a rotating basis.
- Leads NEO sim lab orientation for clinical staff on a rotating basis.
- Attends monthly staff meetings to present data, recognize successes and coach for improvement.
- Maintain Key Drivers PX Board, or other communication resource, to showcase scores, comments, etc.
- Publish ED comments biweekly.
- Send out rolling three-month scores.
- Analyze data and create action plans based on three-month trends.
- Provide service recovery as needed.
- Help with determining Sunflower and Daisy award winners
- Participate with Sunflower, Daisy, and PX celebrations for your unit, as needed.
- Attend PFAC meetings
- Computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office and must be adaptable to new software programs. [Required]
- Strong interpersonal skills [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing Required
- 3+ years of clinical experience [Required]

- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

Pay Range:$31.82 - $59.17
