Bakery Clerk Part Time

Job Summary

Friday and Saturday between 4pm and 9pm, and Sunday between 2:30pm and 8pm.

• Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item’s product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment.
• Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage instructions.
• Packages freshly baked goods—including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed.
• Decorates special order or case product.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following proper work methods on food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments.
• Generates labels and price tickets for bakery goods and performs price check functions when necessary.
• Ensures all items are accurately priced and meet company quality standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, food surfaces, ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, and tables.
• Operates and handles bakery equipment using proper work methods in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures, including safety standards within the bakery department.
• Supports the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Acts with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind to address concerns and elevate issues as appropriate.
• Ensures a safe and positive environment for members and coworkers, embracing inclusion and diversity, and fostering collaboration.
• Works as a team to achieve daily goals, maintains a friendly and positive attitude, and moves with speed, agility, and innovation.
• Performs additional duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance (essential function of this job).

• Experience in a bakery or customer service-oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Most of the time is spent moving about non-hard surfaces. Work may require bending, pulling, reaching, pushing, and/or stooping, frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers, and cleaning agents. Typically involves lifting objects up to 30 pounds and sometimes heavier with assistance.

Pay range starting from $16.25 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
