Our project estimator team drives our company to find new customers, retain current customers, and develop innovative solutions for bettering our product and service. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in establishing relationships and marketing our company’s brand in a positive, honest, and professional way. The work you do on the phone is directly linked to successful outcomes resulting from customer retention and word-of-mouth sales.

- Facilitate the entire sales process from the initiation of the original call through finalization of account set-up for each customer you engage with, owning and growing your client engagement.
- Provide competitive, yet profitable estimates to contractors, municipalities, and private parties.
- Work closely with the Divisional Accounts Manager and support outside sales with estimates and follow-ups. Initiate contact and correspondence with Division Manager, Outside Sales Manager, and all stakeholders to land the sale and address client requests and challenges.
- Acquire background information on new clients and understand what they bring to the table.
- Research and understand equipment, be familiar with each equipment’s function to confidently upsell services.
- Maintain an organized workspace and properly file documents, updates, and product information for reference; communicate openly with internal stakeholders.
- Listen to consumer questions and provide knowledgeable, insightful answers to encourage sales.
- Highlight the company’s strengths and brand by focusing on what makes our organization unique.
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss benchmarks and goals for the upcoming week.
- Analyze documents, blueprints, and project plans to understand production factors that influence cost, and prepare material and cost estimates.
- Understand, develop, and maintain site logistics plans with the superintendent.
- Prepare and execute bidding and estimating functions, including bid instructions, pre-bid meetings, and subcontractor buy-out.
- Analyze actual productivity against estimates and conduct site visits as needed.
- Monitor and manage prevailing wage for the project payroll and submit bi-weekly certified payroll reports.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain an organized and professional workspace
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience in customer service, sales, and/or customer retention
- Previous experience in project estimating, cost estimating, and sales functions
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
- Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Supplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities
- Work Location: On-site at our Bunnell, Florida office.
