- Provide student outreach, instruction, and in‑depth reference assistance.

- Deliver library instruction to new students and assess its impact on learning outcomes.
- Provide in‑person and online reference services to students and faculty.
- Act as a library liaison on the main campus and branch campuses.
- Schedule instruction, including evenings and weekends, and visit other sites as needed.
- Participate in faculty responsibilities such as committee work.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Library and Information Science, or an equivalent graduate degree.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Part‑time instructor (adjunct) pool under the CODAA bargaining unit.
Salary placement is determined according to the CODAA Collective Bargaining Agreement and Adjunct Salary Schedule.
Additional InformationClasses may be conducted at the Palm Desert campus, Indio, Mecca/Thermal, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, or participating high schools for dual‑enrollment offerings. Sessions may occur during the day, evening, or weekends.
