Position Summary
This role is responsible for providing member services, maintaining the checkout area, resolving member issues, promoting products, guiding members on technology, processing transactions, and ensuring safety and security.
Responsibilities- Provide member service and support to members regarding self‑service technology.
- Maintain the checkout area and process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
- Resolve member issues and concerns, and promote Sam's Club products and services.
- Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and handling merchandise safely.
- Correct and report unsafe situations to facility management.
- Maintain entrance and exit areas, verify membership cards, and assist members with purchasing decisions and transporting items.
- Zone the area, arrange and organize merchandise, and identify shrink and damage.
- Maintain a safe shopping environment by observing and communicating potential criminal activity according to company policies.
- Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation; execute emergency response procedures.
- Assist with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teach new technology and tool functionality, deliver new programs rollout training, and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy and related action plans.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
