The Mover role at Move Happy is a full-time, on-site position based in Palm Desert, CA. In this role, the mover loads, transports, and unloads household and commercial goods, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently throughout each move. Daily tasks include wrapping and protecting furniture, packing and unpacking boxes, assembling and disassembling items, and using equipment such as dollies, straps, and hand trucks.

Movers follow company packing standards, assist with inventory tracking, and maintain a clean, organized work area and truck. The role also involves interacting with clients in a professional manner, following schedules and route plans, and collaborating closely with team members and crew leads to complete moves on time.

• Ability to perform physical work safely, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy items, and working on feet for extended periods.
• Basic equipment handling skills, such as safe use of dollies, hand trucks, moving blankets, straps, and tools for assembly and disassembly.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities to interact respectfully with clients and work effectively within a team.
• Attention to detail in packing, labeling, protecting furniture, and following inventory and company procedures.
• Reliability in punctuality, time management, and adherence to schedules, traffic rules, and safety guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred; experience driving or assisting with commercial vehicles is a plus.
• Prior moving, warehouse, logistics, or general labor experience is beneficial but not required; training is provided.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed to meet client and project demands.
