Part‑Time Elementary, Middle, or High School Teacher/Tutor
We are seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for our learning center at Grade Power Learning Palm Harbor. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy teaching language, math, and other core subjects and want to help students succeed.
Work flexible hours tutoring core subjects and/or SAT/ACT in the afternoons Monday through Friday (5‑40 hours per week). Teachers do not have to lesson‑plan beforehand; all lessons are pre‑planned and the Grade Power administration communicates with parents. You will receive full training in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements
- Work summers and portions of after‑school and evening hours Monday‑Friday (3:00 pm‑7:00 pm). Choose your number of afternoons.
- Must be reliable and able to commute to this in‑person location.
- Requires vulnerable sector screening.
- Preferred:
Upper‑division mathematics and science expertise and strong SAT/ACT background for coaching (paid $20‑$23/hour). However, all qualified teachers are welcome.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in college/university.
- Teaching certification is an asset.
Experience
- Experience teaching/tutoring at 1st‑12th grade (or equivalent) – asset.
- SAT/ACT tutoring experience – asset.
- Strong English written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask with up to six students at a time.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
- Conduct classes in‑person.
- Follow Grade Power Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Fill in post‑lesson notes.
- Complete daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Schedule
:
Optional portions of summers and after‑school/evening hours Monday‑Friday (3:00 pm‑7:00 pm); flexible afternoon sessions available.
