Position: Part‑Time AVL Technician: Elevate Live Worship Audio

Description

Looking for a side gig in live production or a place to sharpen your audio skills? We are searching for a part‑time AVL Technician to jump in and help run our church services. As a technician, you’ll work directly alongside our Lead Technician, who will provide overall support and guidance on Sunday mornings. You must be independent enough to handle Tuesday night rehearsals on your own.

This is a great opportunity for students, interns, or entry‑level techs looking for consistent weekly hours in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Tuesday Night Rehearsals (Solo):
Oversee stage setup, plug in instruments/mics, and mix the worship team rehearsal to build a solid sonic foundation for the weekend.
  • Sunday Mornings (Co‑Running):
Translate that rehearsal mix into the Sunday morning services, working with the Lead Technician to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Stage Setup / Upkeep / Teardown:
Help keep the stage organized, wrap cables properly, and make sure mics are set up safely. Assist with setting up or tearing down the stage for church, school services, or events.
  • Bonus Skills (Optional):
Opportunities to learn or run lighting cues, load slides, and assist with other church tech needs.
Schedule
  • Tuesday Evenings: 5:45 PM – 8:45 PM (Solo rehearsal run)
  • Sunday Mornings: 7:45 AM – 11:45 AM (Service run alongside Lead Tech)
  • Additional Services:
Church, Holidays, and events (e.g., Ash Wednesday, Good Friday)
  • Additional A/V Projects:
Throughout the year, based on overall needs, team availability, and schedule.
Qualifications
  • Students, interns, or hobbyists with a basic understanding of audio gear and signal flow.
  • Someone reliable who can comfortably run a mid‑week rehearsal without supervision.
  • A team player who takes direction well from the Lead Tech and is ready to serve the church community.
