Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Certified Nursing Assistant role located in Palm Harbor, FL. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility support. The role includes taking and recording vital signs, observing and reporting changes in patient condition, and supporting nurses and other clinical staff with restorative and comfort care.

The CNA will help maintain a clean and safe environment, follow infection control and safety procedures, and support accurate documentation of care in accordance with facility policies. The position also involves communicating respectfully with patients, families, and team members to uphold Aviata’s commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida and completion of an accredited CNA training program.
  • Experience providing hands-on care in skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living, mobility support, and basic restorative care while following safety and infection control protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to accurately observe, report, and document patient status and follow directions from nursing and clinical leadership.
  • Reliable time management, professionalism, and commitment to person-centered, compassionate care.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Basic computer and electronic health record (EHR) familiarity is a plus.
  • CPR certification and other relevant clinical certifications are preferred.
