Job Summary: The Puerto Rican
- Spanish Speaking Translator Intern will assist with translating the programs, manuals, quick reference cards, and content material of Geographic Solutions to Puerto Rican Spanish.

Special Requirements:

• Fluent Puerto Rican Spanish speaking required
• Currently enrolled in either A.S., B.S., or M.S. program at an University
• A successful candidate will be responsible and able to manage several tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English and Spanish languages including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Must be action-oriented and have a proactive approach to solving issues
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Self-starter that can take direction and move forward with documenting system functionality
• Must be action-oriented and have a proactive approach to solving issues
• Interested in learning how to identify, document and diagram business requirements and processes
• Be able to assist with the successful resolution of specific translation requests as assigned using our proprietary incident tracking database
• Interested in learning how to create incident records for developer review upon discovery of system anomalies
• Assist with maintaining customer and colleague corresponden ce using email and instant messaging applications
• Ability to work with different programs, tools and equipment available at Geographic Solutions to expedite the translation work
• Able to understanding the structure of the variables in English in the Lang files, so that the sentences in Spanish will display correctly

• A successful candidate will be required to work shift work on an as needed basis
• Minimum 20 hours a week
• Hours flexible based on school schedule
