Position Summary
Our client, a healthcare organization,is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This position will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, financial reporting support, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits.
• Assist with grant reporting and restricted fund tracking.
• Support budget preparation and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting requirements.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting and healthcare organizations preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
