High‑visibility Fuels Superintendent in a growing construction firm building large‑scale fueling and energy centers across Hawaii and the Western U.S. The role is travel‑heavy with per diem and housing covered on Hawai‘i projects.
Ideal candidates have hands‑on experience with underground fuel storage tank installation/removal, C‑store or casino fueling build‑outs, and coordination with subcontractors, inspectors, and jurisdictions. Tribal project experience, permitting knowledge, and ICC certification are a plus.
Responsibilities- Develop a schedule and cost‑effective plan for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to create pre‑construction estimates and budgets.
- Produce full‑scale drawings for pipe systems, supports, and equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.
- Inspect work for quality and timeliness; prepare progress reports.
- Obtain required permits and licenses; execute construction contracts.
- Monitor budget; report variances.
- Maintain records of job costs and inventory.
- Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using appropriate tools.
- Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and equipment.
- Follow safety guidelines and communicate safety concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license/CDL.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment operation, grading, and reading blueprints.
- Experience with underground fuel piping for gas stations.
- Supervisory experience in construction.
- ICC certification for underground and above‑ground piping preferred.
Travel heavy role with per diem and housing on Hawai‘i projects, fully covered. Chance to lead complex field operations, autonomy, and a steep upward trajectory.
