Hospitalist Physician

Join our dynamic practice at a 387-bed tertiary acute care facility in the beautiful Palm Springs, California! Enjoy the sunny weather and scenic views while providing high-quality care in a community-focused environment. The Desert Regional Medical Center is the only Level I Trauma Center in the Coachella Valley, serving over 8,000 square miles of Southeastern California. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues, attend approximately 60 deliveries per month, and engage in teaching opportunities with fellows, residents, and medical students.

• Provide full-time in-house OB hospitalist services with approximately 7.5 24-hour shifts/month.
• Participate in OB triage, patient evaluation, management, and surgical assists.
• Ensure delivery attendance, fetal monitoring, and ER coverage.
• Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology specialists for high-risk patient care.
• Manage a 30-bed community Level-III NICU/newborns for patients 23 weeks and above.
• Work a minimum of approximately 5.5 24-hour shifts/month may be considered.
• Maintain residency requirements within the local area.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
• California medical license or willingness to obtain.
• Preferred experience in OB hospitalist roles.
• Recently obtained NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days).
• Must be interested in full-time employment.
• Willingness to relocate to the area.
• DEA must be obtained prior to start.
