We are seeking an IT Service Desk Technician I to join a collaborative Information Technology team supporting a large enterprise healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational IT support experience who is looking to build a long-term career in infrastructure and end-user support.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, communicates well with both technical and non-technical users, and has a genuine desire to continue learning new technologies. This individual will provide Tier 1 technical support while developing the skills necessary to grow into more advanced Service Desk responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related support requests via phone and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, application, and connectivity issues.
- Perform password resets and account access support.
- Install and configure software applications.
- Support electronic medical record (EMR) applications, including Epic-related issues.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps within the ticketing system.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
- Escalate complex issues when appropriate.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, providers, nurses, vendors, contractors, and patients.
- Assist patients with remote access to online medical records and patient portal technologies.
- Participate in after-hours support as assigned.
- Continue developing technical skills for future advancement within the Service Desk organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree in Information Technology or two additional years of related IT experience in lieu of degree
- 2+ years of Help Desk or Service Desk experience preferred (entry-level candidates with exceptional drive will also be considered)
- Windows computers

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience supporting healthcare environments
- Experience supporting Epic
- Experience creating technical documentation or knowledge base articles
- Network+, Security+, or equivalent certification
- CCNA (preferred)

Schedule
Training
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
After Training:
- Monday-Friday
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Employees are expected to work independently during the final hour of the day after completing training.
- Primarily onsite
- Hybrid eligibility after one year of satisfactory performance (up to two remote days per week)
