Sky Bridge Luxury & Associates has partnered with an ultra-luxury resort in Palm Springs to source a hands-on and experienced Director of Engineering to oversee all property operations, maintenance programs, and capital projects. This role is ideal for a service-driven engineering leader who takes pride in maintaining the integrity, safety, and beauty of a world-class resort environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all engineering and maintenance operations across guestrooms, public spaces, pools, spa, restaurants, and back-of-house areas
• Manage and develop an in-house engineering team while fostering a culture of precision, safety, and accountability
• Execute preventative maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives to support long-term asset value
• Coordinate with internal departments and third-party vendors to ensure seamless daily operations
• Oversee life safety systems, emergency protocols, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Support and manage capital improvement projects in collaboration with ownership and asset management teams
• Maintain accurate reporting, systems records, and documentation for inspections, permits, and maintenance schedules

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of engineering leadership in a luxury hotel or resort setting
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and energy management systems
• Proven ability to manage teams and take an active role in day-to-day operations
• Familiarity with California codes, regulations, and environmental compliance
• Experience with capital planning, renovation projects, and vendor management
• Ability to lead with integrity, urgency, and attention to detail in a five-star service environment
