Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer or designee, the HRA Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive High‑Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) evaluations and treatment for anal and rectal conditions at the clinic site. The role coordinates all services necessary for health promotion, maintenance, rehabilitation, and disease prevention.

• Assess and interpret medical and psycho‑social histories; perform physical examinations relevant to the procedure; identify problems; formulate a plan of treatment; provide education, referral (as indicated), and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Perform high‑resolution anoscopy, including anal cytology, HPV collection, and targeted biopsies when indicated.
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests such as cytology, histology, and imaging studies.
• Administer or coordinate treatments for anal high‑grade squamous intraepithelial lesions and/or condylomas, including ablation therapy, clinician‑applied treatments, and client‑applied medications.
• Consult with or refer clients with abnormal findings such as anal cancer when indicated.
• Perform or order laboratory tests and interpret results as part of the HRA procedure; report communicable diseases promptly to the appropriate health department.
• Follow established treatment guidelines as per health center protocols.
• Conduct health teaching and counseling during encounters to enable clients to make informed choices.
• Complete clinical record documentation promptly according to health center policies.
• Participate in quality improvement, assurance, and continuing medical education activities.
• Collaborate with all health center members to build a supportive team.
• Apply infection control measures according to policies.
• Maintain professionalism and client confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

DAP Health offers a one‑time New Hire Bonus of $10,000.00 for this position, if hired.

• Demonstrated competency using an anoscope, Tischler forceps, and a colposcope.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate the computer and perform medical procedures.
• Ability to handle phone calls and interact extensively with patients.
• Degree in Nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a CA Nurse Practitioner and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in California.
• Certified by ANCC or AANP.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of two years independently performing High‑Resolution Anoscopy testing, including treatment.
• Maintains CMEs/CEUs required for licensure.
• Maintains CPR and Infection Control certifications.
• Maintains DEA registration.

• Experience in HIV/AIDS primary care.
• Experience with LGBT and Transgender populations.
• Experience managing clients with substance abuse.
• Previous experience with an electronic health record.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

• Position is on‑site at DAP Sunrise.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Works in a clinical setting with frequent sitting, standing, repetitive motion, and talking.
• Exposure to patients or specimens, including blood, body fluids, and non‑intact skin or tissue.
