General Description

This is a part‑time, fast‑paced position which requires varying work hours, including evenings, holidays, and consistent weekend work. It demands exceptional customer service skills, herbal/aromatherapy knowledge, a cheerful demeanor, multitasking ability, and professional interaction with customers in all circumstances.

This is a part‑time, hourly position starting at $18.90 with benefits for eligible employees after 90 days.

• 1. Be dependable – consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, and respond to management feedback.
• 2. Be proactive – continue to develop skills, gain additional knowledge, and solicit feedback for improved performance.
• 3. Follow MRH procedures and protocols, including policies set for all retail locations.
• 4. Possess familiarity with print catalog/journal and the website.
• 5. Correctly use databases, filing systems, and electronic inventory systems to complete assigned tasks and assist customers.
• 6. Learn product types and company policies, including standard responses to queries.
• 7. Expand herbal/natural product knowledge and knowledge of MRH product line to effectively answer product questions.
• 8. Remain up to date on all products, including new products, product changes, and certifications.
• 9. Professionally and efficiently handle customers face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• 10. Handle money transactions correctly; calculate totals, various discounts for sales, and record sales accurately.
• 11. Ensure a positive customer experience through interactions with customers and store presentation to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• 12. Follow protocols for safety concerns and theft mitigation and promptly report issues to the Store Manager.
• 13. Develop a basic understanding of other department processes:
  Customer Service, Claims & Returns, Wholesale, QC, etc.
• 14. Communicate with multiple departments (via email, chat, and phone) to answer questions, check quantities, and share other daily information.
• 15. Gain proficiency in numerous computer applications such as the POS system, MS Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
• 16. Maintain store cleanliness to provide a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
• 17. Assist with the creation, maintenance, pricing, and stocking of the store as directed.
• 18. Willingness to become First Aid and CPR certified.
• 19. Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
• 20. Monitor and manage company social media accounts by creating and posting engaging content, responding promptly to comments and messages, and collaborating with the supervisor to obtain approval for all posts before publishing.
• 21. Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to sit or stand for periods of time while on the sales floor and stock room, performing data entry duties, on the phone, etc.
• Must be able to assist with unloading freight orders; this may include lifting and carrying heavy materials up to 30 lbs.
• Associated twisting, pulling, bending at knees and at waist, or reaching up associated with retrieving products, as necessary.
