Job Description
The Outbound Sales Producer is responsible for generating new insurance business through proactive outbound sales activities. This position will work with internet-generated leads, conduct prospecting calls, follow up with potential customers, and build a personal presence in the community to develop additional sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate is motivated, persuasive, organized, and comfortable initiating conversations with prospective customers. This role is focused exclusively on selling insurance to outbound prospects and does not involve servicing an existing book of business unless otherwise assigned.

Contact and follow up with prospects generated through internet leads and other agency marketing sources.
Make outbound calls, send emails and text messages, and use other approved communication methods to reach potential customers.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options.
Quote, explain, and sell insurance products in accordance with agency procedures and carrier guidelines.
Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects.
Schedule and conduct sales appointments by phone, virtually, or in person.
Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects throughout the sales process.
Develop and maintain a personal marketing presence within the local community.
Generate additional prospects through networking, referrals, community events, local organizations, social media, and other approved marketing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources, business owners, community members, and prospective customers.
Accurately document prospect interactions, quotes, follow-ups, and sales activity in the agency’s customer relationship management system.
Meet or exceed established sales, appointment, activity, and production goals.
Stay informed about available insurance products, underwriting requirements, carrier guidelines, and industry developments.
Maintain all required insurance licenses and complete continuing education requirements.
Protect customer information and comply with all applicable insurance laws, regulations, and agency policies.
Provide a professional, positive, and customer-focused experience throughout the sales process.

Depending on licensing and agency needs, the Outbound Sales Producer may sell products such as:
Personal auto insurance
Homeowners insurance
Renters insurance
Life insurance
Commercial insurance
Umbrella insurance
Other products offered by the agency.
RequirementsQualifications:
Active insurance producer license.
Previous sales, insurance, customer service, or business development experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to confidently make a high volume of outbound calls and initiate new relationships.
Comfortable working with internet leads and following up consistently.
Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
Comfortable using customer relationship management systems, email, social media, and standard office technology.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for community marketing and in-person appointments.
