Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels including in‑person, by appointment, and virtually to provide the best possible counsel while adopting a digital‑first mindset. Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs.
They build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up, ask questions and learn about their financial needs and banking channel preferences. They identify solutions for new and existing clients by effectively engaging and communicating with clients. They maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products and services. They provide a consistent optimal client experience, greet clients and process basic transactions, develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members, open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications, proactively educate clients on emerging and self‑service digital products and services, and leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
- Build and nurture customer relationships across in‑person, appointment and virtual channels.
- Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs and process account information.
- Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products, recommending solutions aligned with customers’ goals.
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow‑up to gather financial needs and channel preferences.
- Identify solutions for new and existing clients through effective engagement.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital services.
- Provide consistent, optimal client experience, greet clients and process basic transactions.
- Collaborate with branch team members and partners to serve clients.
- Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications.
- Educate clients on emerging digital self‑service products and services.
- Utilize resources and technologies to improve the client experience with operational excellence and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typically has a minimum of three to four years of job‑related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.
- Proven ability to build and foster relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
- Effective engagement and communication with clients.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with digital products and self‑service technologies.
- Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs, leveraging a digital‑first mindset.
- Proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs reactively and proactively.
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.
Salary RangePay Range: $23.19 - $28.35 per hour.
