Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Palmdale, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide essential support to students in a dynamic school environment. These flexible, per diem roles are perfect for passionate individuals eager to make a meaningful contribution, working 1:1 or in small groups to help students thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially.

In this as‑needed position, you’ll work collaboratively under the guidance of teachers and school staff, ensuring all students receive the assistance they need to succeed.

• Deliver academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Provide 1:1 or small‑group assistance as directed by staff
• Assist with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as required
• Support students’ mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to meet district compliance requirements (including TB test and background clearances)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
• Experience in school, special education, child care, or behavioral health settings is preferred
• Familiarity with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is an asset
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus (not mandatory)
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
