Software Engineer Senior ; Skunk Works - Level 5

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the air vehicle simulations team through the full development lifecycle, including requirements generation, software design, implementation, integration, and flight test.
• Develop next generation Avionics services, safety critical OFP software
• Integrate flight critical hardware subsystems
• Participate in end-to-end integration activities including a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments with constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent experience
• C/C++ experience
• Development of real-time systems or use of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Developing software for embedded systems
• Software development process experience in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)

• Experience with embedded real-time systems
• Experience with static analysis tools and dynamics analysis tools
• Experience with Systems Engineering processes (requirements development, use cases, data flows, etc.)
• Experience Integrating hardware and software
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket/Bamboo/Linux
• Experience with C#, Python
• Experience working with safety/flight critical software development processes (e.g. MIL-STD-516C, MIL-HDBK-1797, AC-17-01)
• Experience with automated test methodologies
• Experience with networking protocols (e.g. IP, UDP, RTP, etc.)
• Experience with Modeling and Simulation (6
  
  DOF, AFSIM, Comms)
• Ability to build/maintain relationships, collaborate with others, and manage interpersonal dynamics

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
