You will be the System Engineer Stf for the Lockheed Martin Skunk works team which is responsible for delivering advanced aerospace solutions. What You Will Be Doing As the System Engineer Stf you will be responsible for safeguarding product safety throughout the development lifecycle. You will lead hazard-analysis activities, develop safety documentation, and ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882, FAA guidelines, and contract requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Conduct Preliminary, System, Subsystem, and Functional Hazard Analyses.
* Create and maintain System Safety Program Plans (SSPP) aligned with MIL-STD-882.
* Develop Basic Fault Tree Analyses to assess failure modes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements into design.
* Provide safety briefings and reports to customers and internal stakeholders. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or above in Engineering discipline.
• Experience with Aviation.
• Experience conducting System Safety analyses, in compliance with MIL-STD-882 or equivalent.
• Experience presenting analyses results to program at milestone reviews.
Desired

Skills:

• Active Top Secret clearance
• Civilian or Military Pilot or flight crew experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Human Factors is considered a plus.
• Working knowledge of MBSE a plus.
• Reliability and Maintainability engineering working knowledge a plus.
• Experience supporting System Safety Working Groups (SSWG)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510.
