Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Early Career Industrial Engineer Associate to support an Advanced Development Program (ADP). In this role, you will assist with the First Article Master Scheduling Committee (FAMSCO) by helping program and production leadership drive actions that support engineering design, procurement, and process planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and optimization of manufacturing build schedules, crew planning, and production sequencing to meet program objectives.
  • Utilize 3DX, an industry CAD tool to model and optimize build schedules and data.
  • Collaborate regularly with cross‑functional teams, including other Industrial Engineers, Project Engineering, Production leadership, Engineering Design, Program Management, Global Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering to support planning and execution decisions.
  • Prepare and interpret planning data and assist with metrics visualization to inform staffing, cost, schedule, and capacity analysis.
  • Work Environment & Interaction:
    This position involves frequent interaction with multidisciplinary stakeholders to influence schedule and process improvements that support complex aerospace production goals.
  • Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Proficient with Tableau Prep Builder and Tableau for preparing, blending, and visualizing complex data sets. (Or other visualization software)
  • Mechanically inclined, able to understand and work with mechanical systems and components effectively. (Robotics Club)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and automate tasks using macros (VBA).
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Engineering (IE) methodologies, such as Little’s Law, Kaizen, Lean principles, and root‑cause/corrective action techniques.
Desired Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project for planning, scheduling, and tracking project tasks and timelines.
  • Experienced with AutoCAD for technical drafting and computer‑aided design (CAD).
  • Simio Simulation Software:
    Skilled in using Simio for simulation modeling and analysis.
  • Proficient in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and technical computing.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
