CAD Designer – Plant 3D & Civil 3D (Entry-Level)

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 1-Year Contract

Compensation: $45–$48/hour DOE

Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week.

We are seeking an Entry‑Level CAD Designer with strong technical software knowledge to support utility infrastructure design projects. This role is ideal for a designer with 3–5 years of experience who is proficient in Plant 3D and Civil 3D and is looking to grow within a structured, team‑driven environment.

This position is software‑focused and supports model inquiries, database review, and design documentation efforts.

• Review internal design databases to identify existing models applicable to project requests.
• Support model inquiry requests and assist with design updates.
• Produce and modify piping layouts using Plant 3D.
• Utilize Civil 3D to support plan and profile development.
• Work with Google Earth and KMZ files to support location‑based design validation.
• Follow established workflows, standards, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project staff.

• 3–5 years of experience in a Designer, Drafter, or related CAD role.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Experience supporting piping design and layout.
• Experience using Google Earth and KMZ files.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
• Clear communication and team collaboration skills.
• Stable work history with verifiable software proficiency.
• Exposure to Power Apps.
• Familiarity with P&IDs and basic process documentation.
• Exposure to transmission or utility pipeline projects.

• Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week.
• First 2 months:
  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday required onsite.
• After 2 months:
  Monday required, additional 2 onsite days flexible.
