Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact on operations. Assist with implementation of EHS programs to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with site leadership to continuously improve the culture, awareness and accountability in support of EHS programs.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of EHS programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention and risk mitigation.
  • Complete audits, industrial hygiene sampling, ergonomic assessments, and safety inspections.
  • Creates and updates Job Hazards Analyses.
  • Participate in tooling design and project reviews, provide regulatory requirements and recommendations for Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Assist during accident/incident investigations to help determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and coordinate EHS training and conduct instructor-led EHS training.
  • Participate in regulatory agency and external customer inspections and follow up on any resulting findings.
  • Interface with employee-based safety committees, senior management and other functional support groups to address safety concerns.
  • Implement EHS management systems, sector-level programs and associated documentation to proactively eliminate or reduce workplace hazards.
  • Support site environmental compliance and sustainability programs as needed.
Basic Qualifications Level 2
  • Bachelor's Degree in science and 2 years of occupational health and safety or related experience or Master’s Degree and 0 years of related experience.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources; consistently looking for novel ways to solve problems; mastering unfamiliar information, tasks and situations quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental health or occupational safety.
  • Previous DoD, Military or Aerospace facilities experience.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300 - $121,900. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off for vacation and/or personal business.
