Location:
Palmdale, CA
Shift: 1st shift (Monday thru Thursday) on a 4 day - 10 hours/day schedule.
Essential Functions- Provides stress MRB dispositions for primary and secondary structure.
- Review of completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Coordination and clear communication with other disciplines during the development of design solutions.
- Concise presentation and explanation of structural issues/solutions to internal management and customer representatives.
- Maintains and improves part designs, equipment, and systems in support of production deliveries.
- Develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough, imaginative, practical, and consistent with program objectives.
- Evaluation of as built products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.
- Basic qualifications for a Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience.
- Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 8 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with 3 years of experience.
- This position requires an Active In-scope (within 6 years) U.S. Government Secret Clearance as well as the ability to obtain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
- 5 years or more Aerospace structural analysis experience using NASTRAN, PATRAN, or FEMAP.
- Experience working on Special Access Programs.
- Experience working on military aircraft.
- Current in-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
- Experience performing DADT analysis.
- Analysis experience in a MRB role.
