What You Will Be DoingAs the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Stf you will be responsible for driving the integration and design synthesis of the XR/AGM 158 Flex and ARRW weapon system family while collaborating across a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Lead integration and design synthesis across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, thermodynamics, electronics, controls, and actuation.
- Conduct multidisciplinary system trade studies to optimize performance and cost.
- Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, MRB, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Generate and present technical and administrative materials for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor early-career engineers and champion One LM culture across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or above Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience leading design teams
- Experience in airframe structure design and analysis
- Experience in CATIA V5 and/or 3DX
- Experience with metallic and composite design
- Experience with GD&T
- Experience with hand stress analysis
- Experience releasing drawings
- MRB experience with aircraft structural repairs
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret clearance. This position requires a government security clearance and is located at a facility that requires special access.

Annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Salary information is a general guideline only.
Position is incentive plan eligible.
Location & Work ScheduleWork Location:
Onsite Full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
