What You Will Be DoingAs the Materials & Processes Engineer Sr Stf - Composites - Level 5 you will be responsible for applying composite material engineering principles to enable manufacturing and research & development of composite parts.
- Interface internally and with suppliers on technical issues with composite raw materials, new materials and processes, manufacturing plans, and parts fabrication.
- Develop and implement composite research and qualification plans, including process development and material characterization.
- Author and maintain composite material and process specifications.
- Advise on appropriate selection of materials and processes for parts and products.
- Provide direct M&P support to assembly and fabrication operations.

Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Composites, Polymers, or Chemistry
- Experience leading technical teams
- Experience in Aerospace Composite materials
- Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans
- Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
- Experience transitioning composite process research to production environments
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay RateThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
