- Develop and iterate on detail production build schedules by working closely with Development and Production Operations.
- Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross‑functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost‑saving solutions.
- Utilize various Continuous Improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize waste, reduce cost, increase capacity and optimize schedule.
- Work with frontline leadership to assess current state reality and define future state possibilities.
- Provide tactics and training to frontline leaders and shop floor personnel to improve the current state and facilitate value generation.
- Conduct studies and generate metrics pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work‑in‑progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.
- Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence within program management and customers.
- Apply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.
- Provide capacity planning, rate‑tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.
This requisition may be filled at either an Industrial Engineer (T02) or Principal Industrial Engineer (T03).
Qualifications Industrial Engineer- Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 Years of relevant experience;
Master of Science Degree in STEM with 0 Years relevant experience. - Ability to work on an assembly floor.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Must have an active DOD Secret level clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Clearance is required to start. Special program access required to start.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 Years of relevant experience;
Master of Science Degree in STEM with 3 Years relevant experience. - Ability to work on an assembly floor.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands‑on experience using shop floor production system (MES, etc.).
