Position: Flight Test Leader (Level 5)

This position is for a Flight Test Engineering Leader, a senior member of an ADP Flight Test Engineering team, providing support for all flight test activity from laboratory, to ground test, to flight and then moving to the test location. You will be responsible for managing the entire test program Team for a classified ADP program. The candidate will be part of a fast paced, dynamic environment exploring state of the art technical solutions.

This Flight Test Leader will be tasked across the full flight test life cycle.

Travel, overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work may be required.

You may find yourself managing budgets for the test arena while in test phase.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
  • Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including task planning, budget management, or employee development and mentoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emotional intelligence, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
  • Working knowledge of Flight Test methodology, Aero Codes, and processes.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate

California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC – $122,900 – $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.

Major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York – $141,300 – $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
