What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for researching, developing, and defining Electrical Power System (EPS) architecture, schematics, and requirements in close partnership with system engineering and specialist disciplines.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Perform electrical load analysis, verification, and validation to support EPS architecture balance.
* Design and verify EPS state diagrams and ensure compliance with airworthiness, survivability, and functional requirements.
* Manage technical supplier interactions, conduct testing, and evaluate power‑quality for generators, converters, batteries, and associated controllers.
* Develop power‑distribution switching concepts, conduct coordination studies, and select appropriate isolation protection devices.
* Produce clear technical documentation and communicate findings to leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start.
This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
Desired
Skills:
* Experience with Harness, Wiring, or Cable design/schematics.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115.
