Given the nature of our work, all positions require US Citizenship. This is NOT a Manufacturing Planner in the sense of supply chain, resource planning or scheduling purposes. We are looking for someone adept in creating comprehensive work instructions related to one or more of the following: machine parts, composite details, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, aircraft check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, aircraft maintenance, MRB or coatings.
This is a long-term W2 defense industry contract and we are ready to hire.
Responsibilities- Create comprehensive work instructions related to machine parts, composite details, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, aircraft check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, aircraft maintenance, MRB or coatings.
- Prepare clear documentation to support manufacturing processes and quality requirements for aerospace components and assemblies.
- US Citizenship status is required;
Only US Citizens are eligible for consideration. - Bachelor degree with 5 years relevant experience or Masters with 3 years.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other applicable references.
- Instructional writing proficiency.
- Detailed knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing and inspection methods or processes pertaining to aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles.
- Working knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM and model-based engineering systems such as Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, 3DX or similar programs.
- Understanding of Engineering Bill Of Materials (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Order BOM (OBOM).
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools, such as Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.
- Ability to pass background checks required to obtain a DoD Secret clearance;
Active Secret is a plus. - Availability for on-site work in Palmdale, CA.
- Rate listed ($30-$60/hour) is not a guarantee and will depend on education, experience, interview results and skill level.
- 4/10 workweek option may be available (3 days off each week).
- We cannot work with third party agencies or recruiters for this long-term contract.
