Systems Engineer
You will be the System Engineer, Integration Lab (level
2), for the Skunk Works (Advanced Development Program) team which is responsible for turning visionary aircraft concepts into operational reality.
- Perform system integration, test, and troubleshooting of hardware/software configurations.
- Design and integrate hardware equipment for the Systems Integration Labs (SIL).
- Establish Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) and closed‑loop development/testing in the SIL.
- Interface with software developers, systems engineers, and customers to support verification activities.
- Maintain design documentation and adhere to configuration‑management requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with Avionics Systems Integration and Test or Laboratory Hardware development and buildup.
- Avionics and SIL experience/background, planning and I&T experience/background, experience with requirements development and integration and test processes, strong laboratory skills, flight test experience.
- Experience with Sub‑System Integration, working in a System Integration Lab and troubleshooting system integration anomalies.
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or A+ certification desired; candidate would need to obtain certification upon being hired.
- Experience in computing systems (Processing, Network, Storage, Display technologies).
- Experience modifying and maintaining system test procedures.
- Proficiency in cable fabrication, installation and troubleshooting (BNC, ENET, RF, Fiber Optic, data).
- Experience with the deployment and configuration management of hardware components.
- Experience in Lab View.
- Experience with RF design and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with communications protocols such as USB, Ethernet, serial and video.

Security ClearanceMust be a U.S. citizen. This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level and an active Secret clearance to start.
Location & AvailabilityPalmdale, CA. Onsite full‑time.
Work schedule:
4×10 hour days, 3 days off per week.
Salary range (excluding major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York): $73,400 – $129,260 per year. In major metros: $84,300 – $146,165 per year. The salary information is a general guideline only.
