Description
You will be the Systems Engineering Associate Manager - Level 4 for the Skunk Works team which is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge aeronautics solutions.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Systems Engineering Associate Manager - Level 4 you will be responsible for both technical leadership and people development on a high‑impact Skunk Works program. You will guide the team through the systems engineering “V”, ensure rigorous requirements development, and champion a culture of technical excellence.
- Providing technical direction across the systems engineering “V” and ensuring delivery of high‑quality engineering artifacts.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 20+ engineers, conducting performance reviews, training, and career development.
- Defining, enforcing, and auditing engineering processes to maintain program compliance.
- Managing project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet critical milestones.
- Communicating technical status, risks, and recommendations to program and functional leadership.

Further Information About This OpportunityThis position is in Palmdale, CA.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Demonstrated experience across the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
- Proficiency with digital systems engineering tool sets, including DOORS/Rhapsody and/or Cameo/Magic Draw.
- Experience in task delegation and leading a team of peers on complex projects.
- Exceptional communication and expectation setting skills internally and externally, including program and functional leadership, customer engagements, and colleague interactions.
- System architecture development and design experience.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and workload management using Jira or similar tools.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience and CAM certification.
- Systems engineering, integration, and test experience.
- Model based systems engineering experience.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Secret clearance.
SalaryAnnual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas) is $109,200 – $192,510.
