Description
You will be the DMS Engineer - Level 3 for the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) Team which is responsible for safeguarding warfighter readiness by integrating affordable obsolescence solutions.
What You Will Be DoingAs the DMS Engineer - Level 3 you will be responsible for translating complex data into actionable mitigation strategies and driving system‑level solutions within the Aero DMS organization.
Responsibilities- Analyze technical and obsolescence data—including Bills of Material and industry reports—to assess program impact.
- Manage, review, and disposition DMS Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRLs).
- Develop, coordinate, and present DMS Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to program customers.
- Enhance and maintain tooling for tracking, coordinating, and executing DMS mitigation cases using VBA and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate obsolescence solutions across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs.
- Basic:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or STEM related field. - Experience working in the aerospace industry.
- Experience supporting sustainment efforts for a platform or program.
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
- General knowledge of electronic components, DMS and Project Management.
- Ability to use technical and interpersonal skills to coordinate across multiple IPTs, disciplines and suppliers in establishing integrated technical and affordable DMS solutions.
- Ability to use knowledge of trade studies and business case analyses to recommend options for DMS mitigations.
Position requires U.S. citizenship and a valid Secret clearance. Location is Palmdale, California. The role is onsite full‑time.
Work ScheduleWork schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules.
Annual base salary range: $89,300 - $157,550 (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, Washington DC). For other states the salary may vary.
