Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a junior member of an ADP Flight Test Engineering team, providing support for all flight test activity from laboratory, to ground test, to flight and then moving to the test location The candidate will be part of a fast paced, dynamic environment exploring state of the art technical solutions The right Flight Test Engineer will be tasked across the full flight test life cycle You may be tasked to customize test processes to individual customers and circumstances Assess prototype aircraft operations for risk and assist in developing appropriate mitigating procedures
During the flight phase you very well could be the primary individual for managing configuration management, controlling test execution, troubleshooting the vehicle, along with asset scheduling
You will be expected to train and mentor team members
Travel, overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work may be required
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

* Basic Qualifications:

* - Masters degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer, or another STEM field
- Test experience
- Leadership experience
- US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required to start

** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
** Pay Rate:
** The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York excluding most major metropolitan areas , Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 $123,625 For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only Lockheed Martin considers factors such as but not limited to scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer
