Position: Sr. Corrective Action Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3)

What You Will Be Doing
  • Work corrective actions for discrepancies in a manufacturing environment across multiple portions of the build.
  • Conduct critical reviews of processes to identify gaps and close the process gaps with the intent of reducing variation and discrepancies in the build.
  • Collaborate with quality engineering and production operations to triage repeat failure modes in a production environment.
  • Utilize lean six sigma toolsets to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to explore out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including quality assurance, production operations, design engineering, industrial engineer, project engineer, manufacturing engineering, and/or process engineering
  • Experience supporting air vehicle assembly and part assembly including some combination of composites fabrication, metallics fabrication, structural assembly, systems installation, test operations
  • Experience in integrated corrective action, cause map development, RCCA
  • Active secret security clearance with an investigation in the last 5 years or enrollment in CE
  • Ability to obtain special program access within 3 months of start
Desired Skills
  • STEM degree preferred with 5+ years of experience
  • Black belt certification
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • Working knowledge of air vehicle final assembly and flight line operations.
  • Experience with audit teams or performing process audits
  • Experience with facilitating kaizen events and tiger team efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, model based engineering, process specifications, and manufacturing planning.
  • Self-starter with ability to operate with limited direction.
  • Experience working in 3D modelling software (CATIA, Creo, Solid Works, Nx), Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM) programs (e.g. 3DX, Teamcenter, PDM, etc.), and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) programs (iBASEt, SAP, etc.).
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level:
Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years.

Onsite full-time.

Schedule:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.

Annual base salary range (California, Massachusetts, and New York): $81,600 - $143,865. Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
