Description
You will be the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer for the Specialty Engineering team which is responsible for developing and validating electromagnetic and RF requirements across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer you will be responsible for driving requirements development, verification activities, and system trade studies that ensure electromagnetic compatibility and RF performance of aerospace assets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and refine E3 and RF requirements, then verify compliance through analysis, modeling, and testing.
- Participate in cross‑functional working groups and trade studies to assess electromagnetic impacts on system architecture.
- Integrate developmental and deployable hardware, ensuring electromagnetic and RF considerations are incorporated early in the design cycle.
- Provide technical expertise on electrical wiring design, avionics hardware, and mitigation strategies for electromagnetic interference.
- Document verification results, generate reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders to support decision‑making.

Who You AreYou are a self‑motivated electrical engineer with solid experience in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), RF systems, and avionics hardware. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate technical concepts clearly, and are driven to solve complex electromagnetic challenges.
Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start.
This position is in Palmdale, CA.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited university.
- Experience with magnetic principles and concepts.
- Familiarity with the EMI hardening process at the platform level.
- Ability to adapt and apply EMI test concepts at a platform level.
- Experience with MATLAB and CATIA.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret.
Work Schedule and LocationOnsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
Pay and BenefitsPay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 – $150,765. (
