Position Overview

Vehicle Systems Software Development team member located in Palmdale, CA, working closely with ADP personnel in Fort Worth TX and Marietta GA. Requires US citizen status and a current or potential DoD Secret clearance. The role supports program management, personnel management, and technology roadmap development for LM Aero programs.

• ADP program workforce management: re-assignments/placements, recruitment, selection of new employees, and terminations.
• Personnel management: training, mentoring, career development, performance compensation, and promotions.
• Collaborate with ADP programs, Aeronautics Programs, other business units, and industry to support communications across all levels.
• Support pursuit and management of internal and customer‑sponsored technology roadmaps.
• Interface with LM Aero, other business units, external customers, and suppliers to develop new technologies and transition them into LM Aero programs.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field.
• Experience in software engineering, systems engineering, system architecture, integration/testing, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in project management and Agile team management.
• Technical leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams in multiple locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience defining, tracking tasks, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience working within multiple Integrated Product Teams in a program.
• Knowledge of avionics communication, navigation, autopilot, air data, processing, and display subsystems.
• Experience with Avionics architecture involving Mil‑Std‑1553 and Ethernet interfaces.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
• Must be a US citizen and possess an active DoD Secret clearance to start with potential to obtain Top Secret clearance.

• Experience with Avionics hardware and software development.
• Leadership experience working with or for senior level Department of Defense personnel.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters with senior leaders.
• Experience leading suppliers through the development process.
• Ability to manage, coach, train, and motivate teams.
• General knowledge of C/C++.

Position requires a government security clearance. Applicants must be US citizens and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Current clearance: active DoD Secret clearance with potential to obtain Top Secret clearance.
