Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will research, define, analyze, develop, design, provide technical supplier management, test, and qualify mechanical and fluid systems. You will perform requirements definition in coordination with system engineering and develop, review, and maintain engineering drawings and models. You will support integration and flight test, production, and sustainment activities and ensure program objectives are accomplished through troubleshooting and system subject‑matter expertise to assist in maintenance and delivery of effective technical data.
Responsibilities- Research, analyze, develop, design, and qualify mechanical and fluid systems.
- Define requirements in collaboration with systems engineering.
- Develop, review, and maintain engineering drawings and models.
- Support integration, flight testing, production, and sustainment activities.
- Troubleshoot systems and provide subject‑matter expertise to support maintenance and delivery of technical data.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of core mechanical/aerospace engineering concepts and ability to apply them to routine tasks.
- Ability to complete routine, well‑defined assignments with periodic oversight.
- Strong collaboration skills in a team‑oriented environment.
- Adaptable and willingness to stretch technically and learn new things.
- U.S. citizenship required; position requires a government security clearance.
- Position located at a facility that requires special access.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of airworthiness process and artifacts.
- Experience with CATIA and MATLAB.
Secret clearance required.
Work Location & Schedule- Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
- Relocation available.
4 years and up (College).
