Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Systems Engineer – Level 5 to join the Skunk Works Communication, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) Systems team. In this role, you will lead a technical team that performs engineering functions in support of subsystem design, development, and integration on a variety of CNI systems, including communications systems, computers, and control and test equipment.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related STEM discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Proven experience in systems engineering lifecycle, development, requirements decomposition, and application of processes and tools.
- Professional experience with design, development, and integration of advanced avionics and communications systems to include data links, inertial navigation and GPS, and other related avionics subsystems.
- Experience leading cross‑functional technical teams.
- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance (minimum).
- Advanced degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience presenting to senior leaders, program management, and external customers.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System tools/concepts.
- Proven experience with supplier management.
- Experience with Military and/or Government programs.
- Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
This position requires a government security clearance. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level: TS/SCI.
Work ScheduleOnsite full‑time.
Schedule:
4 × 10‑hour days with 3 days off per week.
Annual base salary range: $128,400 – $226,435 for California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC. In most major metropolitan areas of California, Massachusetts, and New York, the range is $147,700 – $255,990. Salary may vary by final work location.
