As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and optimize manufacturing processes and procedures to drive operational excellence. You will leverage expertise in materials, tooling, and process flow to define build sequences, ensure product quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and build sequences based on a strong understanding of materials and fabrication techniques.
- Evaluate equipment and tool performance to verify efficiency, reliability, and alignment with production requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues related to tooling, process capability, and production inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback on design concepts and specifications, ensuring manufacturability and optimal use of available equipment and methods.
- Operate within a Model‑Based Engineering environment using platforms such as 3DX (3
DEXPERIENCE) and iBASEt Solumina to develop digital work instructions and manage process documentation. - Support cross‑functional initiatives to improve cycle time, cost, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations.
- Provide periodic off‑shift support as needed and travel periodically to other sites or vendors for technical support and integration activities.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand new technologies and systems.
- Hands‑on hardware evaluation, troubleshooting, and integration experience.
- Self‑starter who can manage tasks independently and drive projects to completion.
- Strategic, data‑driven decision maker with long‑term project focus.
- Attention to detail in documentation and process development.
- Effective collaboration within cross‑functional teams and with external partners/suppliers.
- Experience with sub‑system assembly and integration into first‑article complete aircraft.
- Background in aerospace hardware development, integration, and manufacturing environments.
- STEM Bachelor's Degree.
- Hands‑on manufacturing experience.
- Hardware fabrication, assembly, or integration/installation experience.
- Reviewing engineering technical drawings and definitions.
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain special program access within 2 months.
- Authoring manufacturing assembly work instructions and planning work.
- Aerospace, aircraft, or rocket hardware experience.
- Aircraft fuel, hydraulic, propulsion, wire harness, and related systems knowledge.
- Development/prototype/first‑article program support.
- CNC machining working knowledge.
- Experience with 3DX, Catia V5, Delmia, PLM, and ERP software.
- GPA of 3.0+ and 2+ years of experience.
Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years. The position requires a US citizenship and a government security clearance.
