Role Overview
This role focuses on creating comprehensive work instructions for a variety of aerospace components and systems, including machine parts, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, wiring, plumbing, maintenance processes, MRB, or coatings. It is not a traditional supply‑chain or scheduling planner.
Key responsibilities include analyzing engineering drawings and specifications, generating clear, detailed instructions, and ensuring alignment with manufacturing and inspection processes.
Schedule:
4/10 (four days per week) with three days off every week.
- US Citizenship status – Only US Citizens are eligible.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant experience or Master's and 3 years
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other applicable references.
- Instructional writing proficiency.
- Detailed knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing and inspection methods or processes pertaining to aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles.
- Working knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM and model‑based engineering systems such as Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, 3DX, or similar programs/software.
- Understanding of basic structure:
Engineering Bill Of Materials (EBOM), Manufacturing Bill Of Materials (MBOM), and Order Bill Of Materials (OBOM). - Familiarity with computer‑aided design (CAD) and computer‑aided engineering (CAE) tools, such as Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.
- Ability to pass background checks required to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance;
Active Secret clearance is a plus.
