Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- Experience applying Industrial Engineering principles in industry (forecasting, scheduling, staffing, etc)
- Experience with Data Analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel, Tableau, etc
As an industrial engineer you will work on a team of industrial engineers supporting a production team in the execution of program deliverables. Our team is responsible for facilities layouts, work measurement, cost analysis, capacity requirements planning (reporting and analysis), capital project management and budget planning, discrete event simulation, and future business proposal analysis amongst other things. As an Industrial Engineer, you will support cross‑functional improvement efforts for a production area, working closely with various teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
You will also perform data analysis, observations, and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement.
- Supporting cross‑functional improvement efforts for a production area
- Identifying areas of focus for production improvement across a wide scope
- Performing observations and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement
- Using visualization and data analytic tools to analyze production processes
- Applying Lean and Six‑Sigma practices to production and leading major improvement efforts
- Assisting in new product development and proposal efforts with data analysis

Desired Skills- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related Field
- Production scheduling experience
- Proficiency with computer systems and data analytics
- Experience applying lean manufacturing principles & implementing continuous improvements with demonstrated results
- Proficiency with software including Tableau, MS Project, MS Word, advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, & Visio
- Ability to communicate effectively and be persuasive with solutions
Position is in Palmdale, CA. The work is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
