You will be the Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works®) which is responsible for pioneering aerospace subsystem innovations. What You Will Be Doing As the Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering high-performance subsystem solutions from concept through production. Your responsibilities will include:
* Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs.
* Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action.
* Create and maintain 3-D CATIA models, assemblies, installations, system requirements, interface/supplier control drawings, performance specifications, system checkout procedures and statements of work.
* Create system requirements, trade studies, sub-component and flight test plans.
* Coordinate with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management and the customer. - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical

- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience creating and/or modifying drawings

- Experience with aircraft subsystem design, installation, and troubleshooting
- Hands on engineering experience
- Ability to to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements Desired

Skills:

- Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout

- Experience with metallic design

- Experience with tubing and equipment installation
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Active Secret Clearance - 3 years of professional experience; or 1 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree Security Clearance Statement:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
