Manages the day to day activities for manufacturing engineering team in support of multiple programs. Lead organizational objectives and support line of business customers.

Responsible for project coordination, process reviews, process improvement initiatives and oversight for manufacturing projects in support of production operations.

Establish overall tempo for engineering team and will collaborate cross-functionally with other organizations including production engineering team, production operations, quality and production control.

Responsible for overall department budgets and scheduling of assets to support program needs.

Represent Manufacturing Engineering team during AS9100 audits, DCMA reviews and will be overall POC for any manufacturing engineering related issues or objectives. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills:

Experience presenting to large groups of employees, customers and site leadership.

Experience managing teams of engineers in the Aerospace industry or lead engineer supporting multiple employees and customers.

Lean Manufacturing experience

Full Spectrum Leadership qualities.

Understanding of full production life cycle from procurement, engineering, production, quality and sustainment.

Good oral and presentation skills

Must be willing to work extended hours in support of program needs as needed.

Ability to work in fast paced environment while interfacing with program representatives, internal and external customers and stakeholders across the enterprise.

Understanding of Aerospace standards (AS9100 & ISO
9001), concepts, and processes.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Work Schedule:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
