Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer
- Level 3 | Lockheed Martin

You will be the Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works®) which is responsible for pioneering aerospace subsystem innovations.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering high‑performance subsystem solutions that enable next‑generation aircraft.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Create and maintain 3‑D CATIA models, assemblies, installations, and associated documentation
  • Coordinate with suppliers, integrated product teams, management, and customers
  • Support manufacturing, ground/flight test, and customer operating locations

Who You Are

You are an experienced aerospace engineer with a proven track record in subsystem design, validation, and troubleshooting. You thrive in collaborative, fast‑paced environments, excel at translating complex requirements into actionable designs, and are comfortable engaging with cross‑functional teams and external partners. Your expertise with CATIA, system integration, and test support makes you a critical contributor to breakthrough aviation projects.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765.
