Overview
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Management System specialist to develop and maintain an AS9100D compliant QMS. The role collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams to design inspection and testing processes, analyze data, identify corrective actions, and ensure documentation compliance.
Responsibilities• Develop and implement the Quality Management System to meet AS9100D compliance.
• Design and enforce inspection, testing, and new technology processes aligned with business cases.
• Analyze data, identify corrective actions, and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure corrective measures meet reliability standards and documentation meets requirements.
• Specialize in areas such as design, production control, process analysis, product evaluation, reliability, or research and development.
Qualifications- Aerospace or aeronautical background.
- Experience in quality engineering and AS9100
QMS. - Metrics development, process analysis, and corrective action experience.
- Strong aircraft technical skills.
- Knowledge of GD&T and its application within a design dataset, and usage by manufacturing.
- Broad experience with typical aircraft production processes and metrology/product verification.
- Demonstrated performance with FMEA, control plans, FAI planning, statistical process control.
- Knowledge of aerospace contracting processes and supply chain management.
- US Citizenship. Must hold a security clearance (Secret clearance required).
- Certified in lean and Six‑sigma methodologies (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in STEM.
- Composite fabrication experience.
- Experience with CMM, on‑machine probing, and metrology analysis.
- ASQ certification.
- Fluent in MS Office Suite.
- Agile methodology experience.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with PLM and MES tool suites.
- Six Sigma/Lean certification.
- Model Base Experience (3DExperience, Team Center, CATIA V5).
