Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer
- Level 3 | Lockheed Martin

You will be the Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works®) which is responsible for cutting-edge aerospace subsystem design and integration.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer you will be responsible for crafting and refining aircraft subsystem designs, validating concepts, and ensuring flawless installations across the program.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Create and maintain 3-D CATIA models, assemblies and installations, system requirements, interface/supplier control drawings, performance specifications, system checkout procedures and statements of work
  • Create system requirements, trade studies, sub-component and flight test plans
  • Coordinate with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management and the customer

You are a collaborative engineer with deep expertise in subsystem design, CATIA modeling, and systems engineering. Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Desired skills

- Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout

- Experience with metallic design

- Experience with tubing and equipment installations
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Active Secret Clearance - 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with related Masters degree.

Employee will work on-site full-time

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
