Standard Job Description

The Electromagnetics Hardware Design & Fab team supports the Signature Mgmt & Survivability Org by providing hardware design, fabrication, and testing of LO apertures and RCS test fixtures. This includes RF components, antennas, radomes, support structures, composite/metallic component/structures, and full scaleRCS/RF test fixtures. The candidate is to work design and fab of hardware in mostly a research and development environment with some production efforts.

The candidate could be deployed to ADP or production programs, with mostly in a classified program, supporting a mix of flight and non-flight hardware. The mechanical engineer works closely with electrical engineers in RF designs as well as other disciplines (M&P, stress, EEE) to produce novel RFand RCS solutions for platforms. The successful candidate is a strong mechanical engineer who can drive challenging interdisciplinary problems from clean sheet design to fab, to test of hardware.

Performing under tight schedules, the candidate needs to be a strong communicator and have strong project management skills.

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related STEM degree
• Working knowledge of CATIA V5, 3DExperience, and/or similar CAD experience
• Experience with detail part / assembly design.
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• The candidate is not expected to be an expert, but should have knowledge in the fields of technical designand fabrication of metallic/composites materials.
• Experience with design/integration of air vehicle platform(s) or aerospace components

• Experience with mechanical design of Electromagnetic/RF components, electrical packaging, power system layout, and circuit board design
• General knowledge in fundamental EM theories
• Experience in design for additive manufacturing
• Experience managing various programmatics of projects (schedule, costs, procurement activity)

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00
